I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this one. It's ripe for drama and conflict but surprisingly (and happily) Richards steered away from that. Instead we get a couple of people going from friends to lovers, with just a few bumps along the way…This is the first book by Richards that I've read but I definitely doubt it will be my last! I loved her characters and she does a fabulous job of giving them a story that treats them well.

This was a sweet story of redemption and second chances. I loved the characters and how real their situations were. They capture your attention and heart because the constant battles they have had.

I found this an interesting, unusual premise and I liked the realistic depiction of the conflicting emotions and fears Cole and Lauren go through.I empathized with both main characters and understood their dilemmas.

Ms Richards weaves the plot with sensitivity, eliciting sympathetic responses to both of the main characters, although we feel at times as if we would like to give them a good shake, coupled with advice to just tell the other what they are thinking and feeling. Eventually they both 'come clean' and have their HEA. Overall an enjoyable read.

I so enjoyed reading about Cole and Lauren…Can Cole overcome his brothers shadow to be with the one women who has always had his heart or will both of their insecurities keep them from being happy and a family. Gotta read this amazing love story to find out.

Lauren has just buried her husband... and she’s not really mourning him... Cole is her brother-in-law... she’s pregnant... after making love with Cole once... but she pretends the baby is her deceased husband’s...
Doesn’t that just grab your attention?!?!
I enjoyed this book and hope Lauren’s sister and brother get there own stories. I’m guessing since this is book 1 they might. This is my first book by this author. I do recommend it.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed. The plot is well thought out and moves along at a steady pace throughout. The main characters appeared to be well thought out and presented, their dialogue seemed believable and appropriate… It’s a great story and I’m very glad that I was given the opportunity to read and review it.

I’ve always been intrigued by the journey old friends take to become more to each other. Jana Richards did not disappoint as she tackled this very theme. Her writing style is concise yet tender, and I was quickly pulled into the story of one woman’s struggle to make sense of her life after the death of her husband. Sometimes the “mistakes” we make bring about our downfalls. But sometimes they result in a brand new turn of events that are unexpectedly perfect.
Lauren and Cole are meant for each other, but so much happens before they figure it out. I loved every moment of their struggles, thanks to Jana’s writing. This book is the first in The Masonville Series. I highly recommend it and am glad there are more to come.

“Child of Mine” by Jana Richards is the first book I have read by this new to me author. This book will not be the last. Once I started reading I could not put it down I needed to know how this would all play out and I was not disappointed. This is a very emotional second chance love story it brought tears to my eyes. I really enjoyed the storyline even though some may think what happened is socially unacceptable. This is a well written book with well-defined characters.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book. I loved the chemistry between the characters.
