Happy #SnippetSunday! In this snippet from SEEING THINGS, my paranormal romantic suspense, psychic Leah McKenna seeks comfort after having a vision of the abduction of a child. Leah has lunch with her family, her grandmother Mary and her father Arthur. Mary, like Leah, is psychic. She understands what Leah is going through. But Arthur has never understood or accepted their psychic abilities. In past he was embarrassed by his mother's abilities, and now he's frightened by Leah's. He only wants them to be safe. Leah's grandmother Mary tells her about the dream she had.
Excerpt:
"I had a dream about you last night," Mary said to Leah after a long silence. "You were holding a child in your arms, a little boy with dark curly hair and bright blue eyes."
Leah abandoned her soup, anxious to hear more. "Did you see anything else?"
"There was a man, one who looked a lot like the boy. You had to make an important decision, probably the most important of your life."
"I saw that child, Nana. He's the one I'm looking for. My vision of him was stronger than any I've ever had."
Mary nodded. "Be careful. I sense danger here. You're going to get emotionally involved and you could be hurt."
"I have to take that chance. I need to find this little boy."
Arthur reached across the table and took her hand once more, his face lined with worry. "Sweetheart, you can't save the whole world."
"I know, Dad." She squeezed her father's hand. "But just let me save this one little boy."
Blurb:
When psychic Leah McKenna “sees” the abduction of a small boy, she knows she must help find him, no matter the danger to herself. David Logan, the boy’s uncle, doesn’t believe in psychic phenomenon. He believes Leah knows who kidnapped his nephew, and plans to stick close to her to discover the truth. As they search for Jeremy they uncover truths about themselves and the way they feel about each other. Can Leah convince him her visions, and her love for him, are real before time runs out for all of them?
